Foreign Advisors

What should one conclude when sworn enemies of the nation give us voting advise? That they advise in our best interest or theirs?  It doesn't take much thought to find a motive in the freely given advise.  Al Queida would like the Democrats to have much more influence in the running of the nation.  Why would that be?  Because it is GOOD for them.  They expect the Democrats would force removal of U.S. Troops from Iraq which is what they are trying to do in the first place.  If they can accomplish this mission without the loss of life, it is the same as a victory in battle.  Even better is the fact that it speeds up their plans for overall victory.

Democrats of all stripe are accusing the President of not having a Plan.  Now, I would suppose he would have a plan and just maybe he doesn't want the whole world to know just what it is.  Can you imagine the football coach announcing his plan to the stadium during the game.  "Now hear this!  Our plan for this game is to attack the quarterback and force the opponent to pass.  We don't have any defense against the run."  Do you really believe this is the right idea?

I have read that when Kennedy was running for president he had knowledge of highly classified material that he knew could not be released to the public.  He was fully aware of operations that were on going and were addressing a specific problem.  That didn't stop him from accusing the administration of not doing anything even though he knew they were doing something.  He knew the classification would keep any defense against these accusations from being released.

I know the whole process of selecting officials has become a chore, and an unpleasant one at that.  It is no longer determining what candidate to elect based on the supposed benefits, but rather How much BS one has to wade through.  I would much prefer the old fashioned stump speech where one candidate would take the stump for a half hour then the other would take the stump for his half hour, etc.  After half a day of this, all parties would sit and eat fried chicken.  Politics to wait for the afternoon session.  Too many staff with too much time and too great of ideas make for dirty smelling politicians.  A candidate wanting to make bad talk would have to face his accuser.

I'll be glad when this interference to my regular programming is done!
